Biography:

Maurice was born and raised in New Jersey and graduated High School in 1989. He joined the United States Army in May 1992 and then retired from Active Duty after 21+ years in October 2013. While in the Army Maurice's primary job was food service but also worked in operations, building inspector, safety officer, Liaison to Iraqi Army, Food Service Instructor, Logistics, funeral details, and movement officer. His Army duties sent him and his family to bases in Texas, South Carolina, Virginia, and Colorado. He also served overseas in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, South Korea (twice) once at the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone). Maurice deployed to Bosnia (Operation Joint Forge), Southwest Asia (Iraq) in Operation Iraqi Freedom, Afghanistan (Operation Enduring Freedom), and Egypt (Operation Bright Star). Maurice was awarded numerous awards and decorations for outstanding performance and professionalism in the United States Army. Maurice has earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Management from Franklin University, Ohio. Maurice is the man behind the scene for the department. He delivers all pastries to the coffee shops and The Lodge and deliver's food for "Food Next Door" and soup to Uhall. He also receives all the subsistence from all different types of vendors, as well as performing inventories food, equipment, and miscellaneous items. When not working, Maurice enjoys spending time with his family; Jodie, his wife of 24 years and his kids, Rebecca and Allyson and his two German Sheppard, Zorro and Zoey. He also enjoys golf, exercising, camping, fishing, ice fishing, hunting, and attending sporting events. Maurice is also a very avid supporter of a local college hockey team, the Colorado College Tigers.
